Anyone can purchase and gift BetterUp Coaching to a friend or family member. Members and non-members can purchase a BetterUp for Individuals gift card via this page. Once you purchase the gift card, it will be sent to the recipient's email* so they can redeem their BetterUp coaching.
*Please note that gift card emails are case-sensitive, so it's important to ensure that the recipient's email reflects exactly to ensure the proper linking of the gift card to the recipient's account!

Q: What happens if the gift card is more or less than one of our plans?
A: If the gift card isn’t enough to cover the cost of the subscription, the new member will pay the difference. If the gift card covers more than the cost of the subscription, a credit will be applied to the new member’s account for their next payment.
Q: Does the gift card recipient need to enter a form of payment even though they have a gift card?
A: Yes, the gift card recipient still needs to enter their credit card information during onboarding. BetterUp Coaching is still a recurring subscription so we need a card on file.
Q: Can current and former members receive a gift card from someone?
A: Yes!
- Current members: The gift card will be automatically applied to the recipient's account as a credit. The recipient will receive an email explaining that a gift/credit was applied to their account with the gifter's name and message. The gift will automatically be used in their next billing cycle.
- Former members: Former members will receive instructions on how to resubscribe and have the gift card applied toward their coaching plan.
Q: How can gift cards be used?
A: Gift cards can be used when signing up for a subscription plan or can be applied to a subscription plan payment. At this time, gift cards cannot be used to purchase flex sessions.
