How do I refer friends?

You can refer friends through our referral portal on your BetterUp for Individuals homepage by clicking the "Get 30% off" heart icon.

Once you enter the requested information, you'll be taken to your own custom referral page where you can refer friends in five different ways:

1. A custom referral link that you can copy and share whenever, wherever, and with whomever you'd like
2. Enter your friend’s email address and a brief message (or use our pre-filled message) and your friend will receive an email with your custom referral link
3. Share your custom referral link via Facebook Messenger by clicking the Messenger button, or via a Facebook post by clicking the Facebook button
4. Share your custom referral link via a Twitter post by clicking the Twitter button
5. If you're on a mobile device, you'll also have the option to share your custom referral link via SMS

Who is eligible to refer a friend?

To refer a friend, you must have an active BetterUp for Individuals subscription. 

What rewards can I earn?

Every time one of your friends subscribes using your unique link- you will receive a credit worth a 30% discount on your plan’s monthly price, applicable at your next renewal date.

If a long-term plan subscriber: You will automatically be rewarded with a credit worth 30% of the price of the monthly plan you are subscribed to long-term. You can either choose to apply for this credit at your next renewal date or reach out to customer service and exchange it for a Flex Session credit.

Who can I refer to BetterUp?

Anyone who you believe will benefit from Coaching and has not received coaching via BetterUp in the past can be referred. The referred friend must be over 18 years of age. The referral program cannot be used by businesses for affiliate lead generation as determined at BetterUp’s sole discretion.

• Rewards are subject to verification. BetterUp may delay a Reward for the purposes of investigation. BetterUp may also refuse to verify and process any transaction BetterUp deems, in its sole discretion, to be fraudulent, suspicious, in violation of these Terms and Conditions, or believes will impose potential liability on BetterUp, its subsidiaries, affiliates, or any of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents. All of BetterUp’s decisions are final and binding.

How many referrals can I earn in a month?

You can earn as many referrals as you want in one month. There's no limit to how many people you can refer.

Is there a maximum discount I can get in a single month?

Yes, there's a maximum discount of 100% off your next renewal in one month.  Any excess credit will be applied the following month.

Do referral rewards ever expire?

No. Your referral credits are valid for the entirety of your subscription.

Where can I find my referral link?

You can find your referral link on the referral portal on your BetterUp for Individuals homepage. 

My friend just gave me their unique link- how do I get my first-month discount?

To apply your referral discount, you must click on your friend's unique link and the discount will be automatically applied at checkout. 

What does BetterUp do when given a friend's email address?

BetterUp will only use the referred friends' email to alert them via email that they have been referred.  The emails will not be added to our marketing database or used for any other purpose.
