We are thrilled to introduce BetterUp AI Coaching, a new AI-only offering designed to scale personalized development across entire organizations. Backed by over a decade of coaching expertise and powered by the world’s largest dataset on workplace performance, this innovation seamlessly combines human insight with advanced AI technology.

This offering provides 24/7 coaching support helping employees navigate challenges, stay accountable, and re-center in real time. Early results are compelling, with 95% of early users noting their satisfaction, and it’s already boosting confidence by 16%.

Enhancing the Lead member experience with AI

With the launch of this new AI-only offering, it’s the perfect time to revisit how AI features are enhancing the coaching experience for your Lead members. These powerful tools, introduced last July, are designed to deliver smarter, more personalized support between live coaching sessions—helping members navigate challenges, stay on track, and maximize their growth.

  • Session Preparation: Guided reflections help members maximize their 1:1 coaching sessions.
  • Navigate Your Challenge: Real-time AI coaching addresses day-to-day challenges like collaboration and motivation.
  • Role Play: Members can practice high-stakes conversations in a safe, judgment-free space.
  • What Would You Do?: Scenarios tailored to members’ roles build self-awareness and confidence.
  • Smarter Resource Library: AI-curated insights ensure members can find resources quickly.

Introducing the "Coaching" tab

A transformative tool to unlock deeper Lead member engagement


We're excited to continue to enhance the BetterUp platform experience for Lead Members with the introduction of the new "Coaching" tab. This centralized hub is designed to simplify the coaching experience, driving deeper engagement and empowering members to take full advantage of the coaching resources available to them.

This centralized hub allows members to:

  • Manage sessions: Easily view and manage all current and past 1:1 coaching sessions
  • Explore coaching options: Access primary coaching, as well as, specialty coaching, Care coaching, and On-Demand coaching in one place
  • Personalize their journey: Switch coaches or rebook sessions with your preferred coach in just a few clicks

The "Coaching" tab isn’t just for member convenience; it’s a proven driver of engagement. During beta testing, members with access to this feature were 51% more likely to complete non-primary coaching sessions, including Specialist Coaching and Care Coaching. These additional touchpoints deepen the coaching experience, helping members unlock new growth opportunities and deliver measurable results.

Here a few ideas on how to leverage the launch of this new feature to drive engagement:

  • Spread the Word: Communicate the benefits of the "Coaching" tab in your next member outreach. Highlight how it makes coaching more accessible and engaging.
  • Encourage Exploration: Promote the wide range of coaching options now available and emphasize how members can tailor their coaching journeys to meet their unique goals.

The "Coaching" tab is now live for all members. Encourage your team to explore this powerful new tool to help them start 2025 with clarity and momentum.

 

Update: Microsoft Teams Integration is live!

We are excited to announce that an upgraded MS Teams x BetterUp Lead® integration is live! With the upgraded integration, BetterUp Lead® members can: 

  • Complete coaching sessions in MS Teams (previously available)
  • Manage session scheduling and rescheduling within MS Teams 
  • Get reminders for upcoming sessions within MS Teams
  • Message their coach from MS Teams 
  • Access coach-assigned resources in MS Teams

Meeting your employees where they are—in their flow of work—enables you to drive maximum impact and get maximum value from your BetterUp investment. 

To enable the integration, your organization’s internal MS Teams admin must make BetterUp an approved app for your organization.
