Three ways teams bring BetterUp® engagement data into the tools they already use, and what each one takes to set up.
The Partner API makes engagement and usage data available to your own systems on a schedule you set, so nobody has to export a CSV by hand. Here are three ways teams put that to work. Pick the one that matches what your team already does with data, or borrow pieces of two.
This article covers the patterns, not the setup steps. For how to generate a key, see [Getting an API key for the BetterUp Partner API]. For endpoint and field details, see the API reference.

Your BI dashboards
Your analytics team already builds dashboards in Power BI or Tableau, and your managers already open them. Connect the Partner API’s reporting permission to that same dashboard, and BetterUp engagement data becomes one more metric next to the ones managers already track, refreshed on whatever schedule your BI tool runs.
Engagement becomes one line on the dashboard managers already have open, instead of a separate report they have to remember to check.
Your data warehouse
Pull Partner API data into your data warehouse, where your HR data already lives. Once engagement metrics sit beside headcount, tenure, and business unit, your analysts can ask questions a spreadsheet makes painful, like whether engagement differs across business units or moves with tenure, without anyone stitching two exports together by hand.
This pattern usually pulls reporting data plus enough organization data (business unit, cost center, or whatever key your warehouse joins on) to match cleanly against what you have.
Your leadership business reviews
This one is less about automation and more about who has to be in the room. When engagement numbers are already current in whatever tool your leadership team opens before a business review, nobody spends the week before pulling a special report, and nobody has to attend the meeting just to read numbers off a slide.
The mechanics are the same reporting pull as the dashboard example above, just scheduled to land before the meeting instead of during it.
What you'll need
All three run on the same credential: a read-only reporting permission, called on whatever schedule your tool supports. See “Getting an API key for the BetterUp Partner API” for how to generate one, and api.betterup.co/docs for the endpoint reference.
