We want to be clear about what this means for all impacted members and have created this FAQ article to answer any questions that you may have. If you have additional questions, please reach out to BetterUp Support.
What is happening?
Beginning February 1, 2026, BetterUp will begin winding down our BetterUp for Individuals subscription plan options. This means that this coaching option is coming to an end, and will officially end on January 31, 2027. New subscriptions and coaching sessions are no longer available for purchase as of January 31, 2026.
What happens if I have a monthly, three-month, or six-month plan?
The last day that members on our monthly, quarterly, or bi-annual subscription plans may renew their subscriptions is July 31, 2026. After that date, renewals will no longer be available, and you'll have access to coaching for the remainder of your subscription.
New subscriptions and coaching sessions are no longer available for purchase as of January 31, 2026. Edits to subscription plans are no longer available as of January 31, 2026.
What happens if I have an annual plan?
If your current plan is set to renew before January 31, 2026, your renewal will process as expected. There’s no action required on your part – you’ll have access to coaching for the remainder of your subscription.
If your current plan is set to renew after January 31, 2026, but before July 31, 2026, your plan is not eligible for renewal. There’s no action required on your part, and you’ll have access to coaching for the remainder of your subscription. If you’d like to continue coaching beyond that date, you can switch your plan to a monthly subscription at any time before January 31, 2026. Monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual plans will remain eligible for renewal until July 31, 2026.
If your current plan is set to renew after July 31, 2026, your plan is not eligible for renewal. There's no action required on your part, and you'll have access to coaching for the remainder of your subscription.

I want a refund for my plan that was recently renewed. What should I do?
Please reach out to BetterUp Support to discuss any potential refund options.
I have flex sessions on my account. What happens to those?
Please check your dashboard for the expiration date for any unused sessions. As of February 1, 2026, we will no longer roll over unused sessions, and any flex sessions you’ve acquired will expire on the listed date in your account. If your BetterUp for Individuals subscription plan has been cancelled, you may continue to utilize currently available flex sessions until their listed expiration date.

Can I gift my unused monthly sessions or flex sessions to another member?
In the past, we offered a gift card program that allowed someone to purchase sessions for another member. At this time, Flex Sessions and unused monthly sessions cannot be transferred to another user.
What do I do if I have a gift card?
As of January 31, 2026 gift cards no longer have value. If you were unable to redeem your gift card before January 31, 2026, please contact our support team to discuss your options, including potential refunds to the original gifter.
