How to Access BetterUp in Slack
To access the BetterUp in Slack, members can follow the below steps:
- First, members should ensure that they have AI Preferences enabled on the BetterUp platform. To enable AI Preferences, members can follow these steps outlined here: Getting Started: Accessing & Using the AI Coach
- Once AI Preferences have been enabled, navigate to Slack
- Under Apps, select BetterUp. This can also be found by selecting More, then Tools, and Apps
Using BetterUp in Slack
Members can interact with BetterUp in Slack in several ways:
Receive session notifications: Stay on top of your coaching sessions without the mental load. You'll get timely reminders about what's coming up, plus automatic updates if anything changes, like a reschedule or cancellation, all within Slack.
Chat with AI coach from the "Chat" tab: Tackle goals, work through challenges, and prep for tough conversations with your AI coach—all without leaving Slack. Ask for personalized advice, run a role play, or pull up resources whenever you need them.
The entire conversation with the AI Coach will be housed directly in Slack, and past conversations can be viewed on the History tab.
Please note that members can move their conversations from Slack to the BetterUp platform, but cannot move conversations from the BetterUp platform back to Slack.

Do I need IT approval to use BetterUp in Slack?
